Updated CPHO Recommendations

Hi all,

 As many of you have likely heard, the CPHO sent out the following updated recommendations for Eastern Kings which addresses the communities of Morell, Mount Stewart, St. Peters, and Souris:

“Dr. Morrison is recommending testing for all children aged five to 11 and anyone involved in organized sports regardless of symptoms, as well as anyone in eastern Kings with symptoms. Anyone who has been tested in the last 48 hours will not need to be retested, she said.”

 “There’s no specific recommendation (or requirement) from the CPHO to halt activities, but we would advise the following:

Individuals getting tested not participate in activities while waiting for their results (depending on the number of people getting tested this could potentially put a halt to some activities temporarily)
Do not participate in activities if feeling unwell or if you have symptoms of COVID-19 and get tested asap
Be mindful that COVID-19 is circulating within the community; assess your own personal risk and the potential risk you could pose to others; keep circle of contacts small”
