📢 RETURN TO HOCKEY:
We are excited to be returning to our Island rinks tomorrow, December 18th! 🏒
Today’s Public Health briefing brought many Islanders great joy to hear that they would be returning to the ice.
👉 Overall, not much will change with our Return to Hockey Plans, as we revert back to our Modified Phase 4 Plan. However, details available by clicking the link below do outline that there will be changes / limitations required to cohorts in facilities until January 11th, 2021. This means, some facilities will be unable to host spectators while our members take to the ice. We also must ensure contact tracing is at the utmost importance of our focus to allow our season to continue.
✅ In addition to these new measures, Hockey PEI would also like to clarify that all leagues, starting tomorrow, will jump immediately back into their respective league schedules as if there was no pause. All games that were missed between December 7th-17th will be made up at a later date. We ask teams to please work directly with your league coordinators for any rescheduling of games. Please be patient with them!
🙏😊 The last number of weeks have proved to be hard enough with set backs and increased restrictions, let alone without being able to play the game we all love - hockey. We can use this as a reminder to be kind to one another on and off the ice and know how fortunate we are to be returning to practices and game play effective tomorrow at 8:00 AM.
